Peru Vivencial Tour: Chincheros

VIVENCIAL TOUR: CHINCHEROS

07:30 am
Pick up from your hotel and from the city of Cusco to the town of Chincheros, during the tour you will appreciate the fields and the beauty of the Altiplano Cuzqueño.

08:00 am.
Arrive to the village, and welcome dance by the community. Brief Visit to Mirador del Valle Sagrado and mountain ranges of Vilcabamba and Urubamba.

08:30 am.
Start the participatory activities with the first step involve shearing the native animals of the place and later the wool spinning. Then continue the process of dyeing wool in the traditional way (Using Natural Plant and Cochineal). After that proceed to warping, i.e. the Design and finishing of textiles from which the villagers are engaged to teach the use and management and technical loom weaving with sticks.

Brief visit to the family museum, exhibition of Old agricultural and handicrafts, as well as recognition of n a t i v e p l a n t s a n d a n i m a l s . Visit to the family kitchen, direct participation in the preparation of typical dishes of the region.

12:30 am.
Lunch, Soups tasting Andinos.

02:00 pm.
Ritual Payment to the Pachamama ceremony in which an Andean priest makes an offering to the Mother Earth, illustrating the importance of the Inca religion in our time. (Optional) Visit to different Workshops Weavers to shop and take pictures.

03:00 pm.
Visit to the Historical Center where you can appreciate the picturesque narrow streets, Main Square, Niches Inca, traditional for the Barter Market and to complete the Archeological Huacas where we can see, and everything is Inca Terrace cultivation.

04:30 pm.
Return to Cusco and transfer to your selected hotel.
