Callao is the largest and most important port in Peru, built on and around a peninsula, the district of La Punta, a wealthy residential neighborhood. The main highlights of this district are the historical fortress, the Real Felipe Castle, site of "Rodil's Last Stand", and of course the international airport, Jorge Chavez.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LIMA
Assistance on your arrival in Lima and transfer to the selected hotel.Overnight in Lima.

Day 2: REAL FELIPE FORTRESS – SUBMARINE BAP-APTAO
After breakfast in the morning we will visit the First Peruvian Pier, “El Callao”, where we will see The Real Felipe Fortress, built in 1447 by the viceroy José Antonio Manso de Velasco called Superunda’s Count, to protect Callao and Lima, after the excursions of pirates and corsairs. At the beginning of the Republic, it was called the Independence Castle since it was a shelter for the members of the parliament or the government who were fleeing from the realists and the rebel leaders.

Then we will visit the impressive Callao to know the main Square and the streets of this historical Constitutional Province. We will go through along The CallaoBay to visit The Naval Museum Submarine BAP-APTAO, starting with a video about the history of this submarine and taking a walk inside the ship, attending then a recreation of its operation in combat represented with special effects.
At an appropriate hour, transfer and assistance with your departure to the airport.
