TOUR: CHICLAYO WITH THE LORD OF SIPAN

Chiclayo city is known as the center of the friendship, located in the Department of Lambayeque at the north part of Peru. It offers to the visitors a great variety of touristic destinations such as The Lord of Sipan, discovered by Walter Alva in 1987. Some archaeologists hold it to be one of the most important archaeological discoveries in this region of the world in the last 30 years, as the main tomb was found intact and untouched by thieves.

ITINERARY:

DIA 1: ARRIVAL TO CHICLAYO
Upon arrival to Chiclayo, transfer to the selected hotel. Overnight in Chiclayo.



DAY 2: HUACA RAJADA /TUMBAS REALES DE SIPÁN / NATIONAL MUSEUM OF SICAN
After breakfast we will be transferred to the Archaeological Complex of HuacaRajada- Sipánlocated at the Southeastern part of Lambayeque.We will begin the tour visiting the Real Cemetery where intact tombs of the Mochica Culture are found within which we can appreciate the Tomb of the Lord of Sipán discovered in June of 1.987, the Tomb of the Priest, discovered in 1,988, Tomb of the Old Lord of Sipán, discovered in 1,989, the tomb of the Guerrero Head discovered in August of 1.996 and Tomb of the Second Guerrero Head discovered in 1,998; all of them pertaining to the Mochica nobility. After having lunch we will visitthe Archaeological Complex of Túcume, second capital of the Culture Sicán or Lambayeque (1000 D.C.) visiting the site Museum of the same name,

observing on the way the panorama of Chancay valley which seems very fertile because of the sugar cane farming.
At an appropriate time, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Lima.
