PERU TOUR: LIMA – PARACAS – NAZCA – AREQUIPA – CUSCO – PUNO

We have two weeks for making the best tours in Peru knowing places such as Lima, Nazca and its wonderful lines, the national reserve of Paracasand Ballestas islands, the city of Arequipa that offers us de Colca canyon and the Santa Catalina monastery, Cusco with the Sacred valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu and also Puno that invites us to know the beautiful Islands of Uros and Taquile . ITINERARY:
DAY 1: ARRIVAL TO LIMA
Reception and transfer to the selected hotel in Lima. Overnight.
DAY 2: LIMA / PARACAS NATIONAL RESERVE
 Very early in the morning, transfer from your hotel in Lima to take the Bus to Paracas. Upon arrival, transfer to the selected hotel. In the afternoon we will make the Tour to the Paracas National Reserve (3.350 hectares dedicated to the protection and preservation of the endangered species). We can find condors that descend from the Andes in search of food, flamencos and a great variety of birds. After finishing, we will return to the hotel. Overnight in Paracas.
DIA 3: BALLESTAS ISLANDS / NAZCA
After breakfast, we will begin the excursion to the Ballesta’s Island, where we will observe a great amount of sea lions, Humboldt penguins, gannets and albatross. In our return trip we will be able to see the famous candelabrum. After finishing the tour we will be transferred to the bus station to take the Bus Royal Class to Nazca. Overnight at the selected hotel.
DAY 4: NAZCA LINES / AREQUIPA
 After breakfast we will fly over the Nazca Lines, where strange hieroglyphics elaborated by the inhabitants of the Nazca Culture represent figures of different animals and plants being surprising the spectacular dimension of the drawings and the enigma of their elaboration.
After this marvelous experience, we will visit Chauchilla,Pre-Inca cemetery located 28 km (17.4 miles) south of Nazca in which graves the robbers have left open some tombs in which you can see remains of the ancient inhabitants.
At the end of the tour we will be transferred to our hotel to go then to Arequipa by bus.Upon arrival transfer to the selected hotel.Overnight in Arequipa.
DAY 5: AREQUIPA / CITY TOUR - SANTA CATALINA MONASTERY
In the afternoon we will start the visit to the “White City” with a three hour sightseeing tour including: The Main Square and Yanahuara Church that is one of the most representative colonial churches of the city, dating from 1750, with a baroque front and located in the main Square of the legendary district of the same name, whose narrow side streets and old houses with orchards make of this villa the most colorful one. In addition, it has a viewer with arcades made of sillar from which part of the city can be appreciated, including a beautiful view of the Misty Volcano.
Later we will visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina, a citadel located in Arequipa downtown, founded on 1540 by Spaniards, in which interior there is a museum that keeps one of the most important samples of religious art in the continent, including an art gallery that contains works from the Cuzco school, the highest expression of the fusion of the Spanish and the Incas cultures, works from Spanish, Italian and Peruvian masters, samples of colonial art and imagery works with wood carvings.
After finishing our tour, we will return to the hotel. Overnight in Arequipa.
DAY 6: COLCA CANYON
 After breakfast, we will initiate the excursion to the Colca Canyon, where there are 20 different species of cactus and 170 kinds of birds. On the way we will visit the beautiful Yura town, the VolcanosChachani and Misty, Pampa Cañahuas, the thermal baths in “La Calera”, LaPulpera, Sibayo and Chivay getting there around 13.00. Overnight in Chivay Town.
DAY 7: CRUZ DEL CONDOR / AREQUIPA
 After breakfast, we will go to the Condor's Cross where the magnitude of the Colca Canyon and the spectacular flight of the majestic Condor can be appreciated. In the afternoon we will return to the hotel. Overnight in Arequipa.
DAY 8: AREQUIPA / CUSCO – CITY TOUR
Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Cusco.(airfare NOT included). Assistance on your arrival and transfer to the selected hotel with a welcome Mate, having some rest to acclimatize yourself to the altitude.
In the afternoon we will start visiting Cusco on a guided sightseeing tour knowing the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha, to make then a pleasant long walk by the San Blas district, the cradle of the most famous artists and artisans of Cuzco. We will visit its beautiful church that has an impressive pulpit made of wood in the 17th century that shows the delicate work of the craftsmen, and also we will see their workshops located near the Main Square.
While returning, we will pass through the Hatunrumiyocstreet to appreciate the Stone of the Twelve Angles. Then, we will drive out of the City to visit the Inca sites of Kenko, Tambomachay (the Inca baths), PucaPucara and the impressive Fortress of Sacsayhuaman strategically constructed on a hill from where the famous enormous worked stones walls can be appreciated, some of which of 9 ms/30 feet tall. When the tour ends we will return to the hotel. Overnight in Cusco.
DAY 9: CUZCO / SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS
 In the morning we will have a full day excursion to the “Sacred Valley of the Incas”, where we will appreciate the typical Indian Market of Pisac, which is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays (this day a mass in Quechua, the native language, is celebrated). After having lunch in a local countryside restaurant, we will visit the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, which was built to guard the entrance to this part of the Valleyand to protect it from possible invasions of the forest settlers; it was also constructed by a series of superposed terraces.
Finally we will visit the famous town of Chincheros where the remains of Tupac Yupanqui´s estate are found. We will admire the perfectly preserved Inca wall in the Main Square to visit then the beautiful colonial temple (with interesting frescoes on the main door and built on the foundations of an Inca building) and will see also its typical artisan market. After finishing our tour, we will return to the city. Overnight in Cusco.
DAY 10: CUSCO / TOUR TO MACHUPICCHU
 In the morning after breakfast, we will be transferred to the train Station for a train journey to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu observing in our way the diversity of flora and fauna with the different ecological floors. We will arrive to Agua Calientes, located in the province of Urubamba, atan altitude of 2,400 masl. to take then a 25-minute bus drive of winding road, to “The Lost City of the Incas”. Once there, we will have a guided tour to The Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu and visit the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds. After the tour, we will have time to stroll around the Archaeological Site at leisure and then we will return by bus to AguasCalientes town. Overnight in AguasCalientes.
DAY 11: AGUAS CALIENTES / CUSCO.
 Excellent opportunity to wake up early and Visit the Citadel of Machu Picchu for the second time by your own and the return to the city of Cusco will be in the afternoon. Overnight in Cusco.
DAY 12: CUSCO / PUNO
After breakfast, transfer and assistance to the Bus station to go to Puno. We will stop in different important tourist places during the trip. Assistance upon arrival and transfer to the selected hotel. Overnight in Puno
DAY 13: TOUR TO UROS & TAQUILE ISLANDS
 After breakfast, transfer to the wharf to approach our boat to the floating islands of Uros. We will continue the route towards Taquile Island, inhabited by native quechuas who have developed an efficient and original social system, and a technic of weave which stands out by its great cultural wealth, emphasizing its textile art. After finishing the tour we will return to the hotel. Overnight in Puno.
DAY 14: PUNO – SILLUSTANI / LIMA – CITY TOUR
 After breakfast, transfer to the Juliaca airport to take the flight to Lima (airfare NOT included).
During the way we will initiate the tour towards Sillustani, located at 34 Kms. of Puno city and one of the greatest archaeological zones of America, considered like the main cemetery of the Collas; we will appreciate the famous Funeral Towers denominated Chullpas, which have more than 12 meters of height. At the end of the tour we will continue to the airport.(airfare NOT included).
Upon arrival to Lima, we will begin the city tour, visiting the most important places such as: The Main Square, the Cathedral, the Archbishopric, the Palace of Government, the City Hall of Lima, the railway station, the monumental Convent of San Francisco where we will see its cloisters, catacombs and the religious museum. We will continue the visit with Lima residential zones, arriving then to the district of Miraflores, where we will have a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean and its Beaches. At an appropriate hour, transfer to the International Airport Jorge Chavez.
