PERU TOUR: LIMA – CUSCO – PUNO – LA PAZ
10 days / 9 nigths

A trip to the most beautiful places in Perú and Bolivia will allow us to make a tour to Lima, Cusco , Puno and La Paz, knowing the history of the Inca Empire and the locations of this culture such as Machu Picchu, Uros and Taquile in Perú and the Moon Valley, Tiwanaku and La Paz in Bolivia. This will be an unforgettable experience for you.

ITINERARY:

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN LIMA
Reception and transfer to the selected hotel in LIMA. Overnight.

DAY 2: LIMA – CITY TOUR
After breakfast we will begin the city tour, visiting the most important places such as: The Main Square, the Cathedral, the Archbishopric, the Palace of Government, the City Hall of Lima, the railway station, the monumental Convent of San Francisco where we will see its cloisters, catacombs and the religious museum. We will continue the visit with Lima residential zones, arriving then to the district of Miraflores, where we will have a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean and its Beaches. At an appropriate hour, transfer to the International Airport Jorge Chavez.

DAY 3: LIMA / CUSCO – CITY TOUR
Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Cusco.(airfare NOT included). Assistance on your arrival and transfer to the selected hotel with a welcome Mate, having some rest to acclimatize yourself to the altitude.

In the afternoon we will start visiting Cusco on a guided sightseeing tour knowing the Main Square, the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun or Koricancha, to make then a pleasant long walk by the San Blas district, the cradle of the most famous artists and artisans of Cuzco. We will visit its beautiful church that has an impressive pulpit made of wood in the 17th century that shows the delicate work of the craftsmen, and also we will see their workshops located near the Main Square. While returning, we will pass through the Hatunrumiyocstreet to appreciate the Stone of the Twelve Angles. Then, we will drive out of the City to visit the Inca sites of Kenko, Tambomachay (the Inca baths), PucaPucara and the impressive Fortress of Sacsayhuaman strategically constructed on a hill from where the famous enormous worked stones walls can be appreciated, some of which of 9 ms/30 feet tall. When the tour ends we will return to the hotel. Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 4: CUZCO / SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS
In the morning we will have a full day excursion to the “Sacred Valley of the Incas”, where we will appreciate the typical Indian Market of Pisac, which is open on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays (this day a mass in Quechua, the native language, is celebrated). After having lunch in a local countryside restaurant, we will visit the Inca Fortress and Citadel of Ollantaytambo, which was built to guard the entrance to this part of the Valleyand to protect it from possible invasions of the forest settlers; it was also constructed by a series of superposed terraces.

Finally we will visit the famous town of Chincheros where the remains of Tupac Yupanqui´s estate are found. We will admire the perfectly preserved Inca wall in the Main Square to visit then the beautiful colonial temple (with interesting frescoes on the main door and built on the foundations of an Inca building) and will see also its typical artisan market. After finishing our tour, we will return to the city. Overnight in Cusco.

DAY 5: TOUR TO MACHU PICCHU / CUSCO
In the morning we will be transferred to the train Station for a train journey to the famous Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu observing in our way the diversity of flora and fauna with the different ecological floors. We will arrive to Agua Calientes, located in the province of Urubamba, atan altitude of 2,400 masl. to take then a 25-minute bus drive of winding road, to “The Lost City of the Incas”. Once there, we will have a guided tour to The Historical Sanctuary of Machu Picchu and visit the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Clock, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows and various burial grounds. After the tour, we will have time to stroll around the Archaeological Site at leisure. After lunch we will return to Cusco. Overnight.

DAY 6: CUSCO / PUNO
After breakfast, transfer and assistance to the Bus station to go to Puno. We will stop in different important tourist places during the trip. Upon arrival, transfer to the selected hotel. Overnight in Puno.

DAY 7: TOUR TO UROS / SILLUSTANI
After breakfast, transfer to the wharf to approach a boat to the floating islands of Uros,place where the inhabitants have been used the totora (water local plant) to build the island and homes, adding periodically new layers of this reed. After a delicious lunch we will start our tour to Sillustani, located 34 km from Puno and one of the biggest archeological zones in America, considered the main Coya cemetery. We will appreciate the funeral towers known as “Chullpas” that have 12 mt.height. At the end of the tour we will return to the hotel. Overnight in Puno.

DAY 8: TITICACA CATAMARAN –SUN ISLAND – LA PAZ
After breakfast we will goto the station to take the bus Puno – Copacabana, visiting on our way the Copacabana Sanctuary. Later we will board the Catamaran Cruise Ship to Sun Island. Once there we will make a land tour visiting the Inca Steps and the Sacred Fountain, the IntyWata Complexhaving a unique sailing experience aboard a huge Titikaka traditional vessel and going again by Catamaran Cruise to Chua. After all we will go by bus from Chua to La Paz and to the selected hotel. Overnight in La Paz.

DAY 9: CITY TOUR AND MOON VALLEY
After breakfast and leisure time in the morning, we will continue in the afternoon with a city tour, visiting the Indian Market and the Witches market, San Francisco Colonial Church built in 1549, Plaza Murillo, the Metropolitan cathedral, the Government Palace and the National Congress.We will visit the famous colonial street Jaen where interesting museums are clustered together, followed by a visit to the replica of the semi-subterranean temple of the Tiwanaku Culture. We will continue to the residential areas of Obrajes, Calacoto and La Florida. The tour ends with a visit to the unique Moon Valley. Overnight in La Paz.

DAY 10: TIWANAKU RUINS
After breakfast we will visit the epic city of Tiwanaku, the center of an ancient civilization, located 72 km away from La Paz city of and near the south-eastern shores of Lake Titikaka. During its greatest times, Tiwanaku was the largest in the world and considered to be the Cradle of all American Civilizations. At the end of the tour, transfer to the Hotel.
At an appropriate time, transfer to the airport to take your international flight.
